Social Medical & Marketing Intern
Job Description
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Social Media & Marketing Specialist to support our growing commercial team as we expand product and physician education initiatives. We are looking for a hybrid creator who can bridge the gap between the digital world and the physical one. They will be the voice of our brand online, scripting online content and coordinating the logistics and "vibe" of our booth at industry conferences and events.

This role offers hands-on exposure to digital marketing, conference execution, medical education programming, and brand development within a fast-paced medical device environment.
​
They will work closely with the commercial team to develop content, coordinate events, and help drive product awareness across digital and in-person channels. This position is ideal for a recent grad who enjoys and excels at both creative and operational work. They can design engaging content and manage the logistics that bring campaigns and conferences to life.

Responsibilities
Digital Content & Social Media Strategy (50%)

Support the development of the communication strategy across media channels, including supporting sales and marketing initiatives through content updates and campaign coordination.

Ensure brand consistency across all external-facing materials.

Generate content for social media platforms including Instagram and LinkedIn

Draft and publish web posts using Wix

Assist in the creation and updating of presentations for sales, marketing, and educational purposes

Analyze the effective of our communication strategies and targeted campaigns

Work closely with the Product Specialist to support relationship and engagement with external stakeholders (eg. physicians, hospital administrators)

Events & Conferences (25%)

Assist in the development of conference and promotional materials

Coordinate conference logistics, including print materials and vendor coordination​
Vendor & Sales Support

Liaise with external marketing and production vendors
-
Support sales and marketing initiatives through content updates and campaign coordination

Track deliverables and timelines to ensure projects are completed on schedule

Qualifications
-
Degree or Diploma in Creative Industries, Marketing, or Media Production. Life science background would be helpful.

Strong written and visual communication skills
-
Proficient in Canva, Adobe Suite (Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel)

Experience using video editing or video processing software

Social media platform savvy, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram

Experience or high aptitude for coordinating physical spaces, including managing vendors, ordering large-format print materials, and organizing shipping logistics for trade show kits.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and changing environment

Experience working with Wix or similar CMS platforms

Interest in medical technology or healthcare marketing

Experience supporting conferences or event logistics

Basic understanding of B2B marketing strategies
​Term: Full-Time 12-month contract commencing April 2026

Position Details:

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8 hours per day).

Hybrid work Arrangement. Our head office is in Mississauga near Dixie & Eglinton.

Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required
