Data Analyst Intern

Job Description

​

We are seeking a highly motivated team player, with superior analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills as a Data Analyst Intern. In this role, you will work directly with our CEO at our head office in Mississauga to examine healthcare claims data sets, develop an informative business insight dashboard and generate a series of strategic business reports. You will have exposure to a range of stakeholders and subject matter reports.

 

The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, an open mind, and an excel ninja.

Responsibilities

​

  • Develop strong understanding of US healthcare system to perform effective analysis of data relative to our technology.

  • Data entry, mining, extraction, compiling, validation

  • Perform literature reviews

  • Derive strategic market insights looking at trends and major changes in surgical practices

  • Create intuitive and well-designed dashboards and reports that translate data into actionable insights

  • Engage in market research and analysis to better understand demand and best product - market fir for our technology

  • Author strategic business insight reports for management


Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering

  • Strong MS Office skills - word and PowerPoint

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel (Pivot tables, V/HLOOKUP, VBA as examples) and dashboard design (business insights)

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven who can work in a fast-paced driven environment, a great track record in a start-up

Anticipated Start Date: Immediate


Schedule: Full time (Monday to Friday at 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week) Travel up to 25% of the time.

Compensation commensurate with experience.
