Product Specialist
Job Description
​
The Product Specialist reports to the CEO and will support the commercial team during a critical growth phase as we ramp up production and expand sales efforts. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in medical device education, sales and
commercialization.
Working closely with sales leadership, distributors, and cross-functional teams (clinical, operations, and product development), they will support product education, field engagement, and account development activities. As part of a scaling organization, they
will gain exposure to both the commercial and operational aspects of bringing a medical device to market. This role includes travel within Canada and travel to the United States.

Responsibilities
Commercial & Field Support

Develop and maintain strong product and clinical knowledge
-
Support distributor representatives and sales partners through training and field engagement
-
Assist in surgical cases in the OR to observe, gather and inform surgeons of the product’s features and best practices

Assist in planning and delivering product presentations to healthcare professionals
-
Support account development initiatives and identify growth opportunities

Supporting the order fulfilment process including quote generation, follow-up and fulfillment

Market & Customer Engagement

Build relationships with surgeons, hospital administrators, clinical teams, and distributor partners

Gather and communicate market feedback, including product performance, and competitive insights to internal teams

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system

Coordinate and lead regular product and sales pipeline meetings with internal team

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to support product availability
-
Provide team briefings on field performances to drive discussions on product enhancements and identifying new product opportunities

Support marketing initiatives including conferences, surgeon education programs, and product launches

Contribute to process improvements as the company scales commercial operations

Professional Development

Continuously build expertise in medical device sales, clinical science, and commercialization

Participate in company training and professional development programs

Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications
-
University degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
-
0–2 years of relevant experience (medical device, healthcare sales, or clinical support preferred)
-
Strong communication and presentation skills
-
Ability to learn clinical and technical information quickly
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving start-up environment
-
Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business software (Microsoft Office Suite)

Willingness to travel within Canada and the US (approximately 50-60%)

Term: Full-Time commencing April 2026, 12-Month Contract (with possibility of extension)
Position Details:

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8 hours per day).

Hybrid work Arrangement. Our head office is in Mississauga near Dixie & Eglinton.

Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required depending on surgical case schedules.
