Job Description

​

The Territory Sales Manager travels extensively across the sales region (50% or more travel) to develop and execute a business development strategy to market, launch and sell Epineuron’s nerve repair technology. They are expected to achieve sales revenue targets and build market presence and market share by identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with internal/external key decision makers: hospitals, healthcare providers, potential partners and KOLs.
 

This position is responsible for conducting hands-on demonstrations for interested parties, assisting the team in day-to-day activities that include trade show attendance, in-servicing new customers, supporting cases, identifying new business opportunities, Medical Education, etc. They are expected to understand all the clinical and technical aspects of the products and to use their knowledge to establish product credibility and product awareness.
 

During the course of their duties they maintain strong organization, planning, administration and expense planning and control.

Requirements

​​

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (e.g. Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline);

  • 5+ years sales experience in medical field sales;

  • Proven sales and negotiation skills that demonstrate the ability to probe to understand and confirm customers’ needs, handle objections, and gain commitment by customers on actions to drive revenue growth and maximize profitability.

  • Highly desirable: Operating Room sales, orthopedic and/or medical device startup experience;

  • Verbal communication is clear, compelling and concise. Adjusts messaging (content and style) to fit the audience. Actively listens and checks for understanding to propose solutions to effectively solve the customer/potential customer’s problems.

  • High-level written skills with strong attention to detail producing technical reports or documentation. Retrieve, organize, analyze and complete Tender documents, as required;

  • Polished and high standard presentation skills, capable of delivering engaging and informative presentations to effectively represent and promote Epineuron, its technology and products.

  • Possesses relationship-building skills that demonstrate the ability to build a wide network of internal and external connections and the ability to work through formal and informal channels to build broad-based relationships and support;

  • Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Mandatory completion of all routine vaccinations prior to starting in this position, due to the constraints of the environments in which this role operates, including an FDA approved COVID-19 vaccination and annual flu shot;

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

 

Responsibilities

​

  • Develop and execute a market development strategy for the introduction, adoption, and sales of Epineuron’s nerve care solutions in the assigned territory; 

  • Develop insight reports for executive management regarding sales metrics, engagement activities, contract negotiations, projected volumes;

  • Successfully negotiate sales agreements that support and meet Epineuron’s pricing structure and targets;

  • Communicate sales activities internally in a clear, concise, consistent and timely manner while meeting key administrative and project deadlines;

  • Making cold calls and visiting potential customers in assigned territory;

  • Provide sales and marketing support including attending tradeshows, supporting cases, scheduling and performing in-services for doctors and staff for Epineuron’s products;

  • Coordinate marketing and conference attendance, logistics, and lead generation prior to conference;

  • Learn and collect market data relative to products and territory. Use data to identify sales possibilities and potentials for growth;

  • Perform other duties as required.

This position is based at Epineuron’s head office in Mississauga, ON

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Competitive base salary plus commission, commensurate with experience. This position is eligible to participate in the company's annual bonus program.

​

Supplemental Health, Dental, and Vision, Basic Life Insurance (details in Group Benefits Plan guide). Paid Time Off includes competitive annual vacation days, Sick and Personal Days, and 3 days during the Company’s Annual Holiday Shutdown in December.
